Property tax is the principal source of revenue of Patna Municipal Corporation to upkeep the basic civic services in the city. At present there are around 250 thousand holdings in the records of the corporation. As per new rule, annual property tax becomes due on the property tax owners on 1st April of every financial year and it has become legal obligatory on the property tax owners to file their property tax return annually and pay taxes to the corporation. While filing one’s property tax return, one is expected to voluntarily declare true information regarding their holding like built-up area, rateable area, and road on which located etc. Provisions of hefty penalties are there in the rules. Here you can find the list of roads in the Patna Municipal Corporation under Principal Main Road, Main Road and Others categories.
